Since Apps2Fire has become popular, Amazon has moved to prevent its use. Users with newer models of Fire TV devices have found that Apps2Fire produces an error message that says, “Failed to connect to Fire TV. Is it running and is the IP address correct?” whenever they try to connect. As a result, it is not possible to use the previous method to install Perfect Player on 3rd generation Fire TV devices.
Regardless, you can still install Perfect Player on a 3rd generation Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick. The only catch is that you need both an Android phone or tablet and a PC to do so. Here is how to install Perfect Player on a 3rd generation Amazon Fire TV/Stick:
- From your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store app
- Search for and install Perfect Player
- Search for and install MyAppSharer
- Open MyAppSharer. You will see a list of applications that are installed on your Android device
- Select Perfect Player
- Tap the icon in the lower-right corner that looks like three lines with dots on the end linked together. It will take a few seconds for MyAppSharer to create an apk file for Perfect Player
- Select the method of “sharing” (with yourself) you want to use. We found that emailing the apk file to ourselves and then using a PC to download it from email worked the best. But if you can get “export to sd card” to work, it should be simpler than email
- Once you’ve got the apk file on your PC, unplug your Fire TV/Stick from the television and power outlet. Plug it into your PC using the Fire TV device’s USB cable
- Wait for Windows or Mac OSX to load a driver for the device. When it finishes, open the location of the file and drag and drop it onto the Fire TV
- Unplug the Fire TV/Stick and plug it back into the power outlet and TV
- Once your Fire TV has booted up, go to settings → device → developer options. Turn on apps from unknown sources and ADB debugging
- Search for an app called ES File Explorer. Install this app
- Load ES File Explorer. Click internal storage
- Navigate to the place where you saved the file, and click it
- When ES File Explorer asks you what to do with the file, click install. Perfect Player should install within a few seconds

How to setup IPTV on Perfect Player
Once you have Perfect Player installed, it’s time to set it up with your IPTV service. First, look through your IPTV service support documents and find the M3U URL and EPG URL. Some IPTV services do not have EPG URLs because they do not have electronic program guides. If your service is one of these, just find the M3U URL. An M3U URL is required to use Perfect Player, so if your service doesn’t provide one, you will not be able to use Perfect Player to watch its channels.
Now that you have this info, open Perfect Player. You’ll see the main control panel with play and stop buttons, etc. Move your cursor all the way to the right so that it highlights the gear icon. Click this icon to open the settings screen.

Save the file. Now open a browser and navigate to pastebin.com. In the field where it says new paste, cut and paste the contents of your text file.
